DAN BERMAN

PRESIDENT emeritus

Dan Berman is an award winning educator who has dedicated his career to making an impact on the lives of young children and their families.  

At age 20, he was named Boston University’s Mr. School of Education. At 22, he received a Master’s Degree in Child Studies from Vanderbilt and became the only male lead infant teacher in Nashville. Dan became a CEIM in 2015 and has led Infant massage classes at MacDill Air Force Base, Baby Bungalow, and other community locations throughout Florida and Texas, all free of charge. Dan previously served as Vice President of the IMUSA National Board of Directors, and is President Emeritus of the Pinellas chapter of NAEYC.

Dan has designed multiple curricula for use in community based non-profit programs; most recently “The Edible Peace Patch Project,” which supports children in food deserts and low performing schools to learn science and nutrition through gardening. Prior to that, “Who’s the Man?!” a program which helps new dads bond with their babies. His work has been noted in Business Observer FL, the Tampa Bay Business Journal and on CBS.

In addition to his work with IMUSA, Dan is currently doing post-grad study in Educational Leadership at Harvard and serves as Curriculum Advisor for Girl Reports. Dan’s motto is “Do good where you can, while you can” and he is excited to lend his time and expertise to the important mission of Infant Massage USA.
