Infant Massage USA invites you to apply to join our Board.

Serving on the Board of Directors for Infant Massage USA®  is a great way to help fulfill our mission to bring nurturing touch to families and communities.

As a board member you will have the opportunity to shape our organization by partnering with other board members, sharing ideas and taking on responsibilities that help our organization grow.


What are the expectations of a board member?

  • Be a member of IMUSA (CEIM certification is not required; an associate membership is available to all and is $40 per year).

  • Serve on the Board for a minimum of two years.

  • Be available for our bimonthly Board conference call with flexibility for additional calls as determined.

  • Participate as an officer or on a committee and be able to volunteer approximately five hours monthly for board or committee work.

Preferred Skills

  • Non-profit experience, non-profit board experience

  • Marketing

  • Financial background

  • Attorney

  • Public Relations / Legal expertise

  • Fund Raising / Grant Writing

  • Webinar Development / Social Media Skills

  • Specialty content expertise in areas such as infant health care, child life, rehabilitation and infant mental health

Follow Up

Applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of their application. Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule a phone interview with our Nomination Committee.    


Voting

  • The Slate of Candidates will be presented to the membership for voting by December 7th.

  • Voting closes December 28th.

  • Board Candidates will be contacted by December 30th.

  • Board members will be announced to membership January of the following year.
