Instructor Profile:
Margaux Smith, Atlanta, GA
Devoted to
the work she is meant to do

In November
2004, Margaux was trained as an instructor by
Margo Kilborn in
Johannesburg,
South Africa.
“I immediately loved the course and knew that
this was something I wanted to practice and
teach parents,” says Margaux.
Her interest in working with children goes
far back. She has studied childcare and
development and spent eight years working with
children in various fields in
South Africa.
She worked as a nanny, ran an aftercare
facility, and taught a development and
stimulation class to parents of infants aged 2
to 12 months.
“Since becoming an Infant Massage
Instructor, my path in childcare has been more
defined and I know that this is the work I am
meant to be doing in my life,” notes Margaux.
Recently relocated to
Atlanta, Georgia,
she is currently working on setting up local
classes. Although still in the “marketing”
stage, she has taught a successful one-on-one
class already. Margaux is also employed at a
child development center, where she will be
holding massage classes for infants from January
2006.
Margaux notes just how meaningful this work
has been: “The few classes I have done and the
results I have seen, prove that touch is
essential and just how beneficial it is to
massage your babies. Thank you Vimala!!”
