Marija was introduced to infant massage in 2011 when she received her training in Montreal, Canada. She immediately fell in love with the idea of parents being the ones massaging their babies and the emphasis on the relationship and bond being created.

She became the pioneer, the only educator in her home country of Serbia, where in 2015 she founded the IAIM Chapter. She is still serving on the Board of the Serbian Chapter and has been involved with both the USA Chapter and the International Association of Infant Massage.

After having worked with families on two continents for over ten years, her mission is to expand her outreach, training new educators and instructors. She believes that every child deserves the best family possible and that supporting every parent in the early days and weeks of their life with the baby is the key. Parental mental health and mindful parenting is her primary focus.

Apart from being actively involved with the IMUSA, Marija is also a member of PSI (Postpartum Support International). Marija holds three additional certifications: Musical Baby Bonding™ instructor, a yoga and prenatal yoga instructor and a Newborn Behavioral Observation Practitioner.
