Infant Massage USA Trainings are the Gold-Standard

Our 4-day Trainings will help your staff become Certified Educators of Infant Massage (CEIMs). Your team will learn to teach infant massage and build healthy parent-baby relationships. Our Trainings are interactive, in-depth, and research-based. You’ll learn about infant communication, working with babies with special needs, and helping parents of premature children. Each Training includes a live parent-baby class and a chance for participants to teach families themselves.

The Infant Massage USA Training is designed for early intervention, home visitors, parent educators, and health professionals who work with families, in hospitals, and as parenting consultants. It is recognized for CEUs for Nurses, OTs, PTs, Lactation Consultants, Doulas, Massage Therapists, Child Birth Educators, Child Life Specialists and more.

There are two ways to train your team!

Join a Public Training

You can send team members to any CEIM Training on our calendar. Infant Massage USA delivers the same interactive four-day Trainings whether in-person or streamed online.

We offer a 10% discount for groups of 3 or more participants who register together. There’s also an additional Early Bird Discount if you register 3 or more weeks in advance. The Training fee includes all reading materials and a year-long Infant Massage USA membership for all participants.

All participants will need a life-size baby doll that can be purchased through the Infant Massage USA Store.

Set Up a Private Training

You can host a Private Training for your team, and even invite staff from other nearby organizations. The Trainer will travel to your site and support your team in developing an infant massage program for the families you work with. Private Trainings provide substantial savings, and they save a ton of stress.

Contact one of our Trainers about setting up a Private Training, or contact us to make the connection for you. Your Trainer will work out a plan that meets the needs of your organization and handle all invoicing.

Your Organization Will Need To…

  • Provide a venue for the Training at your center or nearby with a monitor or projector, tables and chairs, and other Training needs.

  • Gather 6-8 parents and babies for a three-day, one-hour parent-baby class.

  • Set dates for the Training

  • Sign a contract and pay a deposit

  • Pay a Training materials fee for each participant. Materials will be shipped or brought to the training.

  • Order 20-inch flexible baby dolls for each participant.

  • Pay a $6,200 Training Fee and the cost of the Trainer’s travel, stay, and meals.

Your Trainer Will…

  • Support you in the set-up for the Training, provide a written contract, and fill out any paperwork required by your agency.

  • Order materials for the training.

  • Provide the complete four-day Training to your staff. In a private training, the Trainer will focus on meeting the specific needs of your staff and clients.

  • Provide follow-up materials and support for your agency and participants, including CEU information.

  • Pay the IMUSA student membership fee for one year for each participant. Renewal is optional and can be done by either the participant or the agency.

  • Process certification packets from each student, and provide certificates at the successful completion of the certification process.

Develop an Infant Massage Program for Your Families

Your Trainer, whether you train privately or at a public training, can support you as you integrate infant massage into the curriculum that you already use with families.

Don’t think of infant massage as another thing you’ve got to teach families. Think of it as a tool you can to use to connect parents with their babies, to get them in touch with, and fulfilling, their babies’ needs. It is a deep and heartfelt way for families to communicate. While it rarely works to just talk to families about connecting with their baby more, Infant Massage bypasses the brain and goes straight to the heart for both parents and babies.

- IMUSA Trainer Jody Wright to her students

“Infant Massage is the most satisfying work I have ever done. One of the Early Hard Start staff people I consult with told me: ‘It is the most perfect thing to accomplish all our goals. It does everything we are hoping for.’  Infant massage gets people to focus on what’s going on with their baby. All the talk, all the hours we spend with families, yet infant massage just does it so quickly.”
