Our Programs

Our mission is to promote nurturing touch and communication through training, education and research. Read more below about initiatives in each programming focus.

Training

CEIM Training

Through association with 12 IAIM Trainers, CEIM Trainings are conducted and promoted across the United States

Trainers provide 60+ Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM) Training Classes each year across the US. These trainings are comprehensive, evidence-informed in-person and virtual livestream courses that equip the participants (our Educators) to hold individual and group classes in their communities to teach parents / caregivers and their infants.

Education

Member Education & Support

We provide an exclusive Member Portal with many member benefits including educational resources, scholarship opportunities (SEED & Community Scholarships) and discounts to support our Members. We also provide many opportunities to get involved and gain skills through volunteering.

Our CEIM training is the most widely recognized infant massage continuing education provider in the United States.

Sensational Baby is an initiative from Infant Massage USA that provides a parent & caregiver facing brand with specially developed materials for Certified Educators to provide guided infant massage education classes across the country.

Parent / Caregiver Education & Support

Infant Massage USA’s public website provides an Educator Directory for parents and caregivers to find and contact Certified Educators as well as blog articles specifically focused on parents and caregivers.

Our Humanitarian Fund is a restricted fund used for projects associated with emergency or crisis situations, under-served populations and similar social issues.

Community Awareness

Infant Massage USA’s social channels and blog promote advocacy and education efforts, and we operate an online store providing products for Members and the public. We also celebrate and bring awareness through our International Day of Infant Massage & Nurturing Touch on June 7th each year and through our partnerships with aligned organizations.

Research

Research Advocacy

Advocacy includes an ongoing Board-led Committee for Research & Education interests, building and maintaining a Research Database focused on nurturing touch and related topics for all our Members and associated international Chapters and seeking out and highlighting research and researchers centered on nurturing touch and related topics through our public blog and research partnerships.

Our Values

These values guide our work and give us a sense of home as we build nurturing communities.

H - Honoring Our First Relationships

Early relationships can influence areas of development including intelligence, immune function, growth and sleep patterns.

O - Openness

All parents and babies—regardless of lifestyle, parenting styles, or choices— deserve respect, tenderness and warmth.

M - Making a Difference When It Matters Most

Infant massage is an effective, inexpensive, and simple solution to help prevent many community issues by focusing first on family-level interactions.

E - Expansive Access

Researchers, experts, professionals, and organizations underscore our belief that the knowledge, skills, and actions necessary for healthy relationships should belong to each person, family, neighborhood, and community.
