SHEILA SMOLENS SORKIN

LMSW, Business Management

Sheila’s circled the life cycle through her career, with a focus throughout in helping families to build success through accessing resources. Interdisciplinary collaboration has enriched her work and continues to be her preferred means for achieving goals.

Her skills in program management, project management, and strategic planning have allowed her to effectively work with volunteer-led nonprofits and university-based healthcare organizations.

Building professional networks has been a focus from Temple University BSA to my MSW from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work (currently School of Social Policy and Practice).  She served as a Social Work field supervisor for over 30 years.  Recently she has been engaged as a Mentor in the national Mentor Collaborative through the University of Pennsylvania.

Having grown up in a 3 generation family, her family is most important to her.  Sheila and her husband especially enjoy their 5 grandchildren.
